Why see a pediatric ophthalmologist?
- A pediatric ophthalmologist is more than just a kid's eye doctor. A kid's eye doctor could be any optometrist or ophthalmologist who sees children. Pediatric ophthalmology specialists are trained an extra year in eye diseases of children. The most common problems treated are strabismus (misaligned eyes) and amblyopia (lazy eye). Pediatric ophthalmologists are also trained in diseases that most commonly affect children. We are so much more than a kid's eye doctor.

Please bring a current insurance card. Most insurance companies will allow you to print one out from their website. Registration is done on a computer so no paperwork is necessary. Please warn your child that they will probably receive eyedrops on their first visit.
